DIVE SWIM WEEK LEAKS ITS SUMMER 2017 LINE-UP

MIAMI, FL — DIVE. Swim Week has announced the first designer of its summer 2017 roster. Tankovitz will unveil the DUNAMIS swimwear collection in an unconventional runway presentation on Lincoln Road. The event takes place on the 1100 block (Alton Road to Lenox Avenue) of the iconic pedestrian district Friday, July 21, at 9 pm. Additional activations and minglings are planned prior to and post show.

“What attracts us to Tankovitz is that it exudes a cool factor that is simultaneously accessible,” says DIVE Swim Week Founder Tiffany Norman. “Lincoln Road is the emblem of Miami Beach’s rich history, culture and vibrancy. To us, it’s the perfect backdrop to introduce what’s next for swimwear fashion.”

Headed by Andrea Tankovitz, the brand launched in 2015 with couture gowns and clothing. An aesthetic of class infused with hints of sexiness has received swift praise and demand for red carpets, music videos, and influential personalities. The DUNAMIS series is the premiere of the designer’s expansion into swimwear.

“This collection is about empowerment, but also self love, respect… and a little sensuality,” says designer Andrea Tankovitz. “I recall attending DIVE’s very first production and immediately knew that I wanted to be a part of the program some day, some how. Two years later, it’s incredible that I get to partner with them for my own very first show.”

Tankovitz is among the DIVE roster of “next-scene” designers that present during Miami Swim Week. DIVE Swim Week is a collaborative based upon the shared vision to fuse fashion with culture and technology for one-of-a-kind experiences.
